  1. It’s a much bigger boat. It dwarfs the 196. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. I hope so too, Mike. Almost identical to yours. Offer is on the table. A little more than I wanted to spend, and not a 4 stroke, but it sounds like he’s taken pretty good care of it and is willing to deliver, so we’ll see. What auto pilot are you running? Did you have it installed, or did it come on the boat? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  4. I’ve heard it’s not good to troll with a 2 stroke. I’ve had lots of them over the years and fouling the plugs has always been an issue. I still run my 90 Yamaha and have to change out or clean the plugs after a few days of trolling. They do not like to go slow. Did they fix that with the BRP’s? 5. Thanks, man. Tell your buddy to get his s#^^ together and send me a quote for outfitting this boat[emoji12] Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. And, that number is full retail, plus $3k for gear that he wouldn’t be able to sell for $3k on Craigslist/Facebook. And like I said, the boat is pretty dinged up and the trailer has maybe a few good years left before it needs to be blasted and powder coated or replaced. 7. Not against BRP even though there’s a lot of haters that have had problems with it. I don’t know enough about them to make a choice either way. I think every motor out there is gonna have some haters. I’ve fished with a guy who has a 4 stroke on a 196 and we’ve trolled for 8hrs+ with no kicker hogging up the transom and he fuels up twice a season. Plus, you can’t hear it which is nice after a bunch of beers the night before. I’m into this boat, but when you run the numbers and add the $3k in extra gear (tracks, rod holders, kicker, trolling motor) the number is $20,880. I offered $23k because ppl aren’t selling them. He wants $28k. If he gets realistic with the price, I’ll be a 2 stroke fan. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. That’s a fair deal. Auto pilot is a huge upgrade. Yours looks a lot nicer condition wise too. I’m looking for your boat @$30k but with a 4 stroke. It’s out there somewhere. Here fishy fishy Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Nice boat, but 2 stroke and about $7k over nada. I offered him $23k Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Thanks, Laker. I’ve been talking to Jeff about this boat for a few weeks now. Still waiting to see if they’re able to upgrade the steering to hydro so I can install auto pilot. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Not holding my breath. I’ve been looking for 3 years. I’ll find one. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. I like those. Too bad I missed it. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Looking for a newer used 196 with the 2 jump seats at the stern, preferably with a four stroke merc or Yamaha and hydraulic steering. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Interested. I’m working in Edgemere Drive today. Any chance you could drop it off? I have cash in hand Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. I’ve heard nothing good about tracker boats. I love the idea of a welded boat, but I’ve heard that the metal they use is weak, the welds are garbage and it doesn’t drive straight. Not great for trolling. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. Which is a better boat for trolling on Lake Ontario? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. It was working fine for 60 years. What wasn’t working was the $50M/day profit that the shipping industry claimed it was losing. In the end, whenever the government is involved, money always wins. I think a good chunk of the southern shore will be completely lost this year. Good luck setting gear with house parts floating everywhere. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
