Thinking a good quality spro split rings and quality hooks from Addya is going to be my answer.

We have had multiple split rings and Hook failures this season it's a shame! $10 for a spoon and junk terminal ends. Upgrading split rings and hooks this weeks project

Them's some big kings...they must be moving in, since the Sandy Shootout on Saturday was won with just over 80 lbs for four fish. Great turnout this year - fifty boats fished the tournament. You guys have been on fire this year. You didn't fish get in though? Or did you register under a different name? Anyway, nice fish.
And that last picture is great. I don't know if he's happy or letting out a primal scream lol.
Appreciate the kind words 🙏 yesterday evening was great boys were exhausted. I would have liked to fish the tournaments this year but work family life more important. It's been a great season enjoying with Friends and Family 🇺🇲

Just wondered how long of a lead are you running on your spoons on your 70/80 riggers?
I fished Sunday morning/early afternoon (10am - 2pm) out of Braddock Bay in that 80-110 ft range and marked tons of fish but could only manage one 14 pound king.
Was running about 15ft leads on my spoons off of the riggers.
And to get a decent down speed (2.5-2.8) we had to troll east/northeast, not west or northwest. To get a down speed of 2.5-2.8 trolling west or northwest we had to crank the surface speed up close to 4 knots!
What directions were you trolling? Or what direction was best for you?
Thanks!
Mr Kato
We worked west to the pump house and back east to the mouth had great temp and speed both directions I always troll on the faster side 2.7-2.8 at the ball was what they liked. I haven't changed my leads off the ball much 24-25ft. Often I've been stacking off the probe rigger 10ft above the probe and 15ft off the rigger cable seems to be working well. Spoon bite for me has been very good in the evenings early mornings and meat has shined later mornings early evenings. Fish the marks mix up the spread with uv and glow and let the fish tell you want they prefer. Hope this helps good luck 🇺🇲

By the photo it looks like HDPE. its durable but will warp. Make some support legs and you shouldn't have a problem.
I'm not a plastics guy but I was told it was made with UV white poly plastic. If it holds up I might have a few more made just experimenting see what works.

Just a warning about your cutting board, it will warp with only one mount. I have been making these boards for a couple of months and if they have a single mount, they will warp bad. We use 3/4 and it still is an issue. DOuble mounts are a must!
Appreciate the advice will keep a eye on it. Not sure what grade of material was used this board was made by a friend from Michigan who deals with industrial plastics for only being 1/2" it seems very strong and durable but I guess time will tell.

Loaded up the Fishmaster with kids first time fisherman 5 rods spoons and meat rigs. Set up in 80 fow straight out the mouth and worked out and a touch west to the pump house turnaround at 200 fow and back to 80. 35 bites total 15 came to the net. Riggers 60 to 80 divers out 190 to 200. Special evening for me watching my boys reeling in Salmon using my grandfather's custom made rigger rods from back in the day Brushcut Charter's. 🇺🇲
