    I was able to get the provider to address the issue. They have replaced the gasket next to the lower drive with a metal shim plate. This is intended to keep that gasket from blowout.     I purchased an impeller kit and it came without a lower housing gasket. It did have a thin ss plate just like the missing gasket. Do I use it like a gasket. Is this an upgrade? Thank you Sent from my SM-A426U using Lake Ontario United mobile app

    I am interested in your feedback on the Panther steering system. In particular I am looking into connecting it to an autopilot system like raymarine or garmin.     I am using the Garmin Reactor 40 AP with the Octopus rotary cable drive. I connected a GPSMAP and all the program manuvers work. It was very plug and play but you will need to follow the instructions. Very low power consumption! Not a bad install at all. I am looking forward to adding a panther to a kicker with ap control.     A con are significant if you try to use a transducer with an overlapping frequency. A transducer frequency difference of +20 is required or in the case of multi frequency scanning system you will need to program the system to stop the usage of the common range. It is important to understand that a transducer with a published frequency of 50 may vary +/- the publicized frequency.
