    I am interested in your feedback on the Panther steering system. In particular I am looking into connecting it to an autopilot system like raymarine or garmin.     I am using the Garmin Reactor 40 AP with the Octopus rotary cable drive. I connected a GPSMAP and all the program manuvers work. It was very plug and play but you will need to follow the instructions. Very low power consumption! Not a bad install at all. I am looking forward to adding a panther to a kicker with ap control.     A con are significant if you try to use a transducer with an overlapping frequency. A transducer frequency difference of +20 is required or in the case of multi frequency scanning system you will need to program the system to stop the usage of the common range. It is important to understand that a transducer with a published frequency of 50 may vary +/- the publicized frequency.     All my reels from 30 to 60 series are plus 6 to 1 ratios and I would not buy anything else. If I was to try to find a negative it would be that you need the stay calm to not over reel the fish. Sent from my SM-J737V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
