I had problems with the GPS antenna and instead of replacing just the antenna I replaced the entire unit. I did call lowrance and they confirmed that the gps antenna was bad. Unit powers up and works. Has the mount for the unit and the mount that was on the back of the boat for the transducer. Transducer is HST-DFSBL. $175.00
I dont musky fish but I do deer hunt and I will not call the DEC this tuesday because I suspect someone might try to poach a deer a week from next thursday.
Went out last wendnesday 40-60 FOW marked some scattered fish. Got 2 lakers but I did go out late. It was more of a shakedown trip to make sure everything was working!
That is good....I use the IJC for outflows and the army core projections for lake levels. It went up 6 Inches from march 17 to april 17. They are predicting it goes up 7 more inches by may17.
They have had the dam outflows high all throughout the winter and right now the outflows are about 2000-2500cubic meter/sec higher than last year at this time. They can't lower it fast enough. The only thing we can hope for is a dry spring.
Your still working and that is great, unfortunately that is not the case for everyone. I am sure there are some individuals on here that dont consider being jobless a luxury, just sayin. Keep in mind people are not working AND not fishing out of an abundance of caution to those around them(including essential personnel they may come into contact with ie. you).
I bought a new adjustable panther mount that would support double the weight of the motor. It was like $240.....much cheaper that buying a second kicker cuz your first one is on bottom next to my downrigger balls
Exactly I used the panther four stroke mount on mine ( i forget if it was the 10 of the 16) You will just need to be careful where you put it on the transom to ensure that with it up and the kicker tipped up you will get enough height. With my transom I had just enough room so that when I get on plane the kickeker prop is out of the water.
I have FL and NY plates and there are a lot of military in the area as well. If there were only a handful great, it looked like the lake was laying down on my end today. Sent from my SM-G950U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
I agree with Offhsore its been around longer than most people think, just waiting for an anitbody test. Suspect I may have had it in december and it wasnt really anything that bad, dry cough that kept me up a few nights. Was still jogging and had no problems. The wife about a week later went down hard for a couple of weeks. Started to bounce back and then went down again with a horrible cough and congestion. Coughing so hard her ribs were hurting for over a week. We were in florida when it started for me and had just returned home when the wife go it.
I think either the 15 or the 9.9 would work but if you go with the 9.9 I would do the bigfoot/prokicker. Either one should be a long shaft. The additional length gets you down far enough to stop cavitation but also keep the motorhead high enough so that it doesnt swamp if it gets rough. The bigfoot or the 15 will make it easier to turn the boat in rough conditions as well.
