  1. Hit the ontario for first time this year went east out of I/bay, figured on getting some browns, set the first down rigger turned around to get second rigger then suddenly I hear the drag screaming on the first rod after a lively fight a nice king come to the boat! After that we had problems getting the hook set missing about 6 or 7 of the boards. Towards the end another nice one hit the rigger after some jumps and runs towards the boat and one of the wildest netting jobs i ever seen another nice king got in the boat. Every time you went to net him he would dive down and under boat, had to shut motor off couple times with line close to propeller. Spoons on the riggers bayrats on the boards. Fished in 8- 25 fow. Spring kings are awesome!
  2. Nice! Some good fish!! Still good ice in the bays? Thinking of hitting Eel bay on friday.
  3. I fish the keuka lake outlet just down stream from the lake. ( Indian Pines Park) Spring when water warms up and after a good rain is best, after it gets dark. Night crawler on single hook 1/2 oz. sinker a foot above that.
  4. Yeah I know, at this point work keeps me at home till 700 and again in the evening. I dream of someday hopefully fishing, and trolling Ontario before the sun is up!
  5. Yeah we walked out from Lewis Point. Parking lot was almost full when we got there at 8:30 on a Tuesday. Not to bad of a walk, just walked out to where other tents were. Thinking of trying it myself again. Good luck!
  6. Managed my first Oneida lake walleye. Wasn't a keeper but was nice to get one, also lost one at the hole few of my buddies also got one. Didn't hammer them but it was a learning experience and a fun day.
  7. Thanks a lot for the info. I don't really know what the deal is by the college. It really sucks. I seen someone come out from there the other day. probably the worst thing that would happen is you get a notice on your windshield.
  8. Thinking of going to Oneida for walleye tomorrow for the first time. Was wondering what for lures and techniques to use? Not looking for anyone's hot spots, just wondering how to get started. FOW to start? Just jigging or would it be worth setting tipups?
  9. Paper on the windshield said something like, access not allowed from college during winter because of liability
  10. Yeah I don't know what in the world the deal is. We always used to go out from there. Went there last Thursday there was one guy out and there was a card on his windshield we didnt go out, ice didn't look the greatest. Went past Sunday stopped just to take a look there was 2 guys out both had a card on windshield. Today we went out from east side via permission, walked a mile down lake straight across from college 1 fish each, multiple lookers. 10-12 inch ice about 4 inch white ice. Going to try again in morning.
  11. Perfect, Thank You!
  12. Went out past the crowd 45 fow tip ups with shiners, only 2 lakers between 4 of us. Jigged a little bit not much action on the sonar.
  13. Talked to my buddy, he said Tuesday there was still a strip of open water right in front of college from shore to shore about a 1/4 mile wide. Then Wednesday morning it was closed up. So there is probably thin ice in front of college yet! My plan is to go out to 25 fow from Penn Yan tomorrow.
  14. Any ice reports on Hemlock, Canadice? Anyone out?
  15. Not sure, I was fishing Penn Yan end with tipups Monday, 8 inch ice there. Was ice as far as I could see, a few tents were a ways out. I would think it has to be about good by college but don't take my word for it. Planning to go take a look tomorrow.
  16. This much snow will probably push water up which will turn the snow to slush. With more cold weather coming it will freeze and we'll just have an added layer of white ice on top yet.

Sold / Closed Legacy -The 2021 Season-

I'll be out hopefully about everyday. Still have 1 buck tag and my doe tags. Was hoping for a late season hunt for years now we have it!! Kinda a tuff season for me didn't see any shooters till muzzleloader season I shot a 6 six without brows, had some ground shrinkage wished I would've let him go. The highlight was my dad shooting a big 154 incher right here on our farmland. So looking forward to the holiday hunt it will be interesting. Weather sounds a little warm but we'll see what happens!! Go get em!!

  22. Way to go! Hoping to get out this week.
  23. Yup gotcha I missed that. I have no experience with the cell cams although I would like to try them sometime, mostly I'm worried about battery life. I see Browning now has one, anyone try it yet?
