A lot of guys like the aluminum boats as far as weight to to and that adds speed to their vessel, I get the old Patsy Kline βblue by youβ lol as Iβm running a Sea ray fisherman, heavy to tow heavy every which way, therefore I need a tandem axel trailer to put the old girl on and bring north then in the fall back to pa. I live for trolling!! My fiberglass cuddy I took the motor out built a 383 and a 4 bladed prop and Iβll never look back! I see guys out off Stoney Point Lighthouse blowing around like a kite Unless they run a steerable front mount trolling motor. Again Iβm bouncing off 25-35mph drinking 93 octane like a soft drink!!! I can troll in 3fters depending how they are spacedβ¦ if I throw trolling socks over each side the ankers me to the water. Thereβs proβs and conβs to every type of boatβ¦next year Iβm putting a Four Winns with a 200hp Johnson on with very little time on it this is a open bow with so much more room spray down deck live wells and dead wells rod storage!! But I have everything but the kitchen sink in the cuddy, from pan fish to king salmon feeling like this is flying solo type of thing. Anyway thatβs my perspective of boats!! No matter who you talk to you, your going t get a different perspective of likes and dislikes!!! How handy are you?? Can you repair stuff or not, my uncle has a 16ft Mirrow Craft he loves it personally I wouldnβt give ya $10.00 for it. But he hauls my ass around in it, so it is what it is!!!

Ok thatβs what led to that question!! Just like my younger years. Build a big hp motor for your car and it wonβt take long to find the weak spot!! Thanks for your in put!! I made a coupler up for a motor of strength that would eliminate the Mr. 580 information and my second guess when I pulled that housing off along with the old gears and motor. I was pleasantly surprised as to what I was seeing!! Easy way to adapt a motor directly, now Iβm trying to find a happy medium with rpmβs. The math comes to 1300 rpmβs could get away with a little more rpmβs. For every action thereβs always a reaction, I used the speed of the retrieval in feet verses rpm of the motor its self. So thereβs a trade off in this way of doing it, I lose a little speed but I gain torque, believe or not Iβm getting less of a draw amperage, which mean less heat. Well Iβm still not sure which way Iβm going with it but Iβll keep ya posted. I have lots of units for parts so maybe I should be looking into a couple of the mag 20βs I have laying around to see what they got going on for drive transπ€π€π€

Fishnateez, I want to put this rigger to the test out on our local dead hole to see just how well it works in a actual situation, I put many, many hrs into this and finally I have it down pat. The best part I can use your motor to do it!! No retrofitting something else in its place!! Well Iβll continue on make a video of the invader lifting 16 pounds with less amp draw as to the original motor

well Iβve been in the starter & alternator business for mucho many years. I have threw many different senecioβs said thereβs got to be away to make these units stronger!!! I think I found the answer to this solution!!! I did it with an Invader rigger which I have 7 of. If this proves to be the answer to the motors, then the older mag 10βs this theory I got going on will work with any rigger the uses a permanent mangnet and brushes and an armature!!! Ok question, is the the guts, worm gear and the ring gear, plastic, which so does the mag 20βs what would be the weak link to say this isnβt going to work???. Would this be an interest to folks or am I just an old guy that canβt throw away a good working rigger, laid to the cause it wonβt do what is called for in Lake'Oβ¦.?

Yeah and those charter capt. they arrested should be all compensated also!!! Those guys knew more about whatβs going to be better or worse!!! Then the green uniform wearing dip ****s!!! I really do ask myself what really goes on in their heads

Oh one other thing would it be possible to add chines to the back sides where its totally bald from mid ship on my Sea Ray but its a older one like 84, know I should update but I just spent way to much on my shop. I got back into the starter and alternator business, not full time I just can't do after my 2 story fall on to an air-conditioner. I don't do the up and down the road big box store stuff. Basically the antiques both generators and starters. 6volt 12 volt for a lot of the farmers, and the marine units as you know usually if I get a good nose cone and a case to work with I'm doing good, and heavy equipment 24 & 36 volts. So gotta make my money back LOL. PAP.

When you guys did this you both are talking about an inboard!!! Not a I/O Correct?? I do have a rod/cable that you could attach to. But I have power steering and it turns hard unless I could pit a on demand pump or something. Other wise I'm going with the Garmin kicker GPS. I burned out 2 of those set ups that are self steer via remote but I had to run it. Its stupid the way its designed cause if you use the lanyard when you lift up to use it like a person should its ass backwards. My boat ABSOLUTELY is the worst to control at slow speeds like no wake zones you look like a drunken sailor!! What do you guys got for any ideas!! Anything for suggestions??? Thanks pap.

What is easy draw? I'm in the same shoes as per what to get?? I would prefer if it has a crank for me as pulling them back by hand I positively can't do do to back complications.? Whats Proven out there?? Thanks for any heads up!!!

Geez, amazing what a fishery can do on its own!!! If man keeps his fingers out of the situation!!! We/they really only screw things up more than they do good!! LOL.Ithink I saw more incredible fish pics. this year than all the years since I joined this group.!!! I'd like to say congrats to all those trophy fish caught this year...Well Done[emoji1690][emoji1690][emoji1690] Sent from my LM-K920 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I know I have one just have to find it. If note I have 2/3 of the complete rods so no worries. I will get you fixed up. As I went to remote steering and the garmin 40 kicker auto pilot is next. I will look today i think I always kept them in my glove box on the boat and I have my boat home. Do you want a whole rod if not the piece?? Sent from my LM-K920 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
