The launches are open in NYS. Even last week when Mexico and Pine Grove were blocked off, all launches in Jefferson County were available to use. Sackets included Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Wow, that’s a morning every fisherman dreams about, you guys must have had a ball. That’s what fire drills are made of, thanks for sharing your trip. Also, is it just me or do most of the fish we’re seeing posted look super healthy. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Boat launches without barricades are presumed opened. Chatted with a family member who is State Park Police Officer. If you’re at a boat launch and an officer pulls up, they will talk to you about social distancing, ( hint hint-don’t take a boat load). Be responsible, respectful and don’t be “THAT GUY”. We fishermen and women are a friendly and social gang of people that enjoy our sport, you don’t have the right to give us a bad name or reputation. All trends and numbers are pointing in the right direction. As the saying goes 20% of the people cause 80% of the problems. Don’t be a 20% er !!!!
Ramps further north are not barricaded, checked out Stony Creek, Henderson, Westcott’s, Sackets and Dexter. All ramps open and saw one trailer at Dexter. Hopefully after the blow we’re going to get over the next few days, nothing will have changed. We all need to show courtesy and patience if someone is using the ramp. Let them get on or off the water, then take your turn. Common sense should be shown at all times. The fish will always be there. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Trolled all depths from 6’-25’. All fish in skinny water 6-7’. All Browns were small, but very healthy looking. Caught an 8lb. walleye on a chinook diver 12’ back next to the prop wash. All fish caught in 45 degree water between Lakeview and Sandy Pond. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Have made a few trips to the south shore this month. Some days with great success and others, just happy to have the opportunity to practice social distancing fishermen style. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
