  1. I fished out of Irondiquoit yesterday as well. Didn’t get started until after 9 o’clock. We only fished until noon and managed one small brown. Couldn’t seem to get much going
  2. PM sent. I'm right in North Syracuse. Drop me a line when you have a moment. Thanks!
  3. Oh, it’s not always pretty, that’s for sure! I think about half the time there is only one rod in the water... My autopilot system is slightly glitchy. I’m having trouble finding the software update for a 2x6 piece of pine wedged against the deck! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Fished solo yesterday morning and today out of Pine Grove. Just about halfway between Mexico and the dunes. 3/4 yesterday with a king, coho, and brown. 2/3 today both kings. Off the water by 11 both days. All flasher/fly off riggers down 85-110. Stayed between 120-140’ well south of the dunes and generally out of the pack. Noticed quite a few boats in tighter today. I didn’t mark as many fish today as yesterday. Fished alone with only 2 rods, so take that for what it’s worth... I’m sure some of the big boats are grinding out better numbers, but I’m not complaining! Beautiful couple days to fish! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  7. pm sent. Will take the downriggers if available. Thanks!
  8. I also meant to add that it seems like the stingers and nk’s Have a wider range of effective speeds. This is purely an untested theory. I’ll have to experiment more when I’m not trying to fish. Any thoughts on the validity of this theory? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Hi guys, this may be a silly question but I haven’t been able to find much in the way of info on this topic through my research. I acquired a nice selection of pro king spoons in both standard and mag sizes. I’ve been running them with limited success since the spring. It seems like when I run them next to the boat they kick the best between 2.4 and 2.8. At slower speeds, it seems like they don’t perform as well. Over 3.0 and they start to spin. I’m just curious to find out if others have had this experience. In my limited experience, I’ve had more success with stingers and NK’s. I’m sure, like most things, this is purely a case of operator error. I am curious to find out if there’s an optimal speed that others have success with and in general any opinion on the pro kings. Thanks! Not sure if it makes a difference, but I am primarily running these behind dipsies or off the lead line. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. If this doesn’t work out I’ll take them. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Selkirk is easy with a smaller boat and a close run to good fishing Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Fleas were minimal in 160-180 on Saturday 07/18. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Got on the water around 6:30 and finished up around noon. Beautiful morning to fish, but not much going on in my boat. Ended up with two little browns and a 4 lb smallmouth. Smallie fought like a 12 lb brown! Didn’t see a whole lot of net activity in the boats around me. On a positive note, my second attempt at deploying and running slide divers solo went much better than my first attempt... Think I’ve got my system figured out now. Just need the fish to cooperate! 14. Snuck out for a few hours after a busted turkey hunt this morning. Launched around 7 and fished 15-25 fow with only one bump. Decided to make a move out and worked 45-50 for my last hour. Started marking fish and bait right away. Wasn’t long before I was hooked up. Managed a couple nice browns before I had to pack it up at 10. All fish came on a UV blue dolphin run off 5 colors. 18. I'll scoop up lots 4 and 5. Thank you!
  19. Put in around 7 this morning. A lot more traffic at the launch today. Had a slow start in 20-25 fow. Moved in to 15 fow and hit a nice little flurry from 9-10:30. Ended up boating 7 browns and lost track of how many short hits I had. Not really sure what that was all about. Had at least half a dozen come unglued before I got the rod out of the holder. Lost 3 or 4 more halfway in. It was a little frustrating, but I guess you can’t get em all. Surface temp was 45-47 degrees. Only hit one fish between 11 and 1 o’clock when I packed up. Beautiful day to fish! On a sidenote, the launch was a little chaotic both going in and pulling out. A lot of people just getting out for the first time. Saw some adult children arguing and carrying on. I won’t bore you with the details... We all need to have a little extra patience since the launches are not at full capacity. Please be kind to one another out there! Setter
  20. Thanks guys. I’ve used these for kings in shallow water in the fall so figured I’d try them for the browns. Apparently they like em too. I don’t have a huge selection of spoons to choose from so figured I’d try what I had before buying more. I’ll probably have to add a couple more to the arsenal now!
  21. Didn’t make it out yesterday while the sun was shining, but I had a window of opportunity to fish this morning. Got the rain gear out and ran up to Mexico Point. Launched around 6:30 finished by 11. Had a great morning! Went 10/12 on browns all in 20-25 fow, all on lead core and evil eyes. Made a few adjustments to my simple two rod setup and it seemed to work out. Mostly cookie cutters but I did have a couple nice ones mixed in. Kept one for the smoker that was hooked bad. Water temps were 44-46. Fish didn’t seem to be concentrated in any one particular area and the water was clear heading toward the plant. Started and finished with the same two spoons which both got equal action. All in all, I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome.
  22. Thank you for the warm welcome! I look forward to being a part of this community!!
