We had similar action, also fishing the east side in the north end to about mid-lake. Had one missed small fish on flasher fly but everything else came on spoons and stickbaits off planer boards.
We were only a few minute off from catching this one in totality! We had 2 salmon on at the same time but the other broke off. The half hour before and after totality was good for us today.
Hi. I’ll be going out on Cayuga with some friends in a couple weeks. We are hoping to target landlocks. We’ve only fished Canandaigua and never targeted salmon before. Any suggestions? Probably launching out of the north end.
I was given this flasher fly combo many years ago and it has done well for us. No idea what the fly is though and I want to buy more. It’s white/pearl and has 4 glow beads and a single treble. Any help with ID or recommendations on similar flies would be appreciated! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
When I buy new spoons, I take a picture of the spoon with the color pattern on the barcode and save it on my phone. Probably not the best solution but it’s worked so far. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Nice Rainbow! We launched at about 2 when most tournament boats were coming in. We fished 2 riggers with sliders, a 3 color and a dipsey. Had 2 rigger bites and landed 1 laker. Both bites were 50 down over 200.
