    Had same trouble with flees. I thought Canandaigua was bad but Caygua has there own special breed .!!!!!!!

    Fished Sunday 7-30-23 Deans cove . Water was a little green but he fish were biting 5 lakers and 2 rainbows

    7/8  North end Canandaigua . In front of pump house on stone pile then down east side 120 to 130 went 5 for 6  (1) ten Lb laker ( 1) 7 lb

    1 5lb. (1) 2 lb (1) Small bow . All on dipseys both sides with sutton spoons. Top Line on boards had to much junk from rain. Now lake is totaly junk from flood. Probably wont fish for 2 weeks. But last two trips were great.

      I ran into a mass of weeds around Willow Grove, which kept me south. Water was still pretty dirty from last weeks rain. As you said I imagine yesterday is going to make it difficult for a while.

      The best signs of active fish I saw was shallow 40 - 60 FOW, with the bites at 35 - 45 down. Handful of bait pods 10 - 20 ft.

      I run a down rigger down on bottom 120 or whatever Im at. Dipseys at 55 and 75 lately. I did see some guys fishing ..in closer  I like 120 to 140 range all the way down both sides  I Run boards  with top lines running 10 to 20 ft. ft down 150 ft back get lots of bows . Hard to keep clean now.

    I saw that big Hen in downtown Naples spawning about 2 months ago!!!! NIce Fish Congrats

    I have two of my grandfather's victrola Riges and a bunch of the heavy flutter spoons he used.a couple are made out of pearl shells .Stuff is 80 years old and still works. It's a lot of work I'll stick to my cannon down riggers Still see guys on Canadaigua using them

    Been Salmon river fishing .Went out on Canandaigua 3-weeks ago caught a bunch off small lakers and two tons of fleas on the line it was terrible . Worst I've ever seen it. Giving up till spring!!!!!

    More than 50per cent of kings caught in palaski had lamprey marks on them. Maybe even more!!!

    Caught some nice steelies and kings in Fishers. The kings are pretty beat up by the time they get there. They are in there now.

    I have seen king salmon in Irondequoit creek up in Mendon where creek is only 2 ft wide.I would think this is all natural spawning.Don't know of Dec stocks king on this creek or not but it's fun to see!

    Best entertainment for the buck. 12 pack of beer ,lawn chair ,sitting at the boat launch!!! More fun than fishin some days.

    There is nothing in the boating course about giving fisherman a little room .So sad even the newly educated boat nics will still have no fricken clue!!!!
