  1. Thanks how strong of wind from north or ne does it take to effect that area? Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  2. Looking at coming in middle of may for the weekend and fishing the niagara bar. My question is what wind do you look for or more important not want to have for that area to make it not very fun. Also general waves vs wind speed and direction for that area. I know on my part of erie anything out of the north over 5mph and it's no fun and east isn't much better. I look at iWindsurf and NOAA for erie is there anything else guys use for ontario? Thanks in advanced. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  3. What about upgrading to a little bigger boat like the one you have? A fishmaster 210 authority 2050 or 2150 or warrior boats? All have around an 8 ft beam and i think offer more fishing space then a walk around style boat and I think handle big water just as easy and will be easier to tow and store. You do lose the hardtop but can get an enclosure made Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  4. Mine came with s coiled up section it's pretty stiff so well see how it does I'm mounting it in the splash well. I'm not lookin forward to laying down in there working Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  5. I just got a johnson 5 Gpm pump I think 70 psi off amazon for 160 on sale from 200. Recieved it today seems like good quality and had good reviews gonna install it tomorrow. It came as a kit with everything except tubing. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

  7. I started a discussion a while back on this topic and it had some good info if you can find it and read through it. Were booked for weekend of may 15th itll be our first trip too. The tournament is going on that weekend so prolly gonna be a little busy Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  8. There spoons have been lacking quality for the last few years I havent bought any new ones.. I've had several after 1 good day of walleye fishing become a chrome blank cause it all wore off Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  9. 6 ish feet. This is usually from dipsy to spoon. It's what works best for my boat size and net and fishing with my son alot. There is a guy on here that sells premade leaders for like 2 bucks that's a good deal also. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  10. Same as three dogs Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  11. I bought the boat used and the previous owner had everything installed and left it. It's truly a game changer with being able to do and see everything in both units.. if your keeping the boat a while you could always sell your used units to offset the cost . 12. If your willing to upgrade fishfinder I have the lowrance auto pilot linked through my hds 12 and 9 and can control the big motor and kicker at anytime with them and can run patterns and trails through the ff. It's a an awesome system and you dint need to link them so easier to move around Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  13. If either falls through I'll take it Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  14. Look on facebook market place you can get good used reels for cheap look for the great lakes 47 sealines they can be had for 25 to 50 a reel and can function for both services. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  15. Sent you a pm I'll take the first lot Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  16. I have my boat house and vehicles all bundled I pay 27 a month for 50k replacement cost and I believe it's a 1k deductible. I use a private insurance broker though. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  17. Magnum metal double rod holder pair. Used last season prolly have 20 trips on them total and look brand new also come with a track mount or can be directly mounted to gunnel. Rotate 360 degrees with wheel on the bottom and go from vertical to horizontal with 5 or 6 positions. Metal webbing also holds tools and they sell a cutting board to fit in tubes. Located in ohio so I'll ship they go for 200 a piece new. 325 for the pair. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  18. We were plannin on fishing the bar around mid may so guess it could be a viable option. In erie we run shallow lipped baits off of dipsys and shallow and deep baits off of bandits guess it could be worth a shot Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  19. Thanks for the info its interesting. Guess I can leave that box at home Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  20. Interesting in erie we use them all through the year and catch steelhead on them I was hoping they would still produce Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  21. Do summer stick baits usually not work say may through august? Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  22. Does anyone use walleye stick baits for trolling through spring and summer for kings. I have a whole box full of bandits and reef runners and thought it may be good to put behind a downrigger. Seems like most just use spoons and flys or meat rigs but not much talk about stick baits besides early brown trout fishing. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  23. Like it says looking for 10 or 12 pound downrigger weights 2 chamberlain downrigger releases A set of offshore planer boards regular size. Will have to ship to ohio. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  24. Thanks guys I think in definitely gonna try to make it in the spring for a long weekend. I'm pretty much set on 2 divers and 2 or 4 dipsys with 2 being wire of needed although from what I have been seeing it seems like your fishing shallower depths early in the season and typical dipsys and braid will get me down that far Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  25. Woukd you guys recommend mayniff niagra bar vs July deep water? Seems like alot of good bites happen around there in may and I'm pretty flexible on getting there and can prolly make both trips Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
