It was great to get out with my childhood buddies today. I just wish the fish would have cooperated for us. We started in 140 and ran out to 250 fow. We ended up with 2 skip Kings and one small laker. Definitely got my first fishing dose of humble pie. Just when I thought I had a fishing program figured out the lake showed me different. I stayed away from the pack today and fished east of the green bouy. There was definitely more chop on the lake than the report said for this morning. How did everyone else do???

Went out for a few hours this morning from 6am till 10:30am. Fished 160 - 320 fow. We had a slower day today as we finished 4 for 8. All fish were caught in 180-210 fow at 55 to 75 down. Ended up with 3 steelhead and one 8-10lb king. Lost a really big king about 40 feet away from the boat on the surface as the spoon popped. Kinda bummed out about it but that's fishing. Happy 4th everyone!!!!

I couldn't get anything to fire on the inside water today that's why we headed into deeper water. That's where we took all of our fish. Which direction did you fish out of the creek? We fished northeast of the creek. Flies and fleas were pretty bad as well hoping for a breeze that never showed up.

Wanted to take a few friends out today who have never fished the big lake before. We lost a big king on a mag green glow alwive spoon at the boat as the hook broke. Never had a hook break before but I guess there's always a first. Fished 6:30am till the rain started at 10:45am. We got 2 decent steelhead, 4 kings, and one decent laker while we were pulling in lines. Finished 7 for 12 for the day. I've had good luck with the same three spoons each time out so far this season. Our best water today was between 210-250 fow at 60-85 down.

Rick, thanks for the suggestion. I will definitely give it a try as it's on the way most of the time until we open it up for the hot summer days. How many rod spread are you running on your boat?

Fished 80-165fow with most of the fish caught in 120-150 fow.All fish were caught from 6am to 8:30am this morning. Finished 6 of 7 with all fish being Salmon. Biggest was 16 or 17 lbs. 4 spoon bites between 60-100 down. 2 flasher flies bites out 190-210 on 3 diver setting. Pulled the boat out of the water at 11am. Good temp was 95 down today. Rigger bites were green glow alwive on the deep spoon with mixed veggies and orange crush on the sliders. 8" Hulk 14 and Green jeans spin doctors with matching flies took the diver bites. The east/ northeast troll produced all the fish today. Anybody fish out deep today? How did you guys do?

I think that's it for the year out of Sandy. The water level at the launch is really low. Had one break off in 140fow and then caught this in 115 fow down 85 on a rigger with a sea sick waddler mag spoon. Only three boats out there today. Headed out around 6am with intentions to target Salmon but my fish hawk had other ideas. Kept reading 03.8 on ball temperature so we abandoned that plan and went after Lakers. We ended up 15 of 16 with two over 20lbs. All were caught in 95-115 fow on gambler rigs. We ran past cow sucker creek and got my probe and cannonball caught on something which snapped the line. Manny, the fact that you ended up with some decent fish after a day like that is a huge win. Your bad days are better than my good days on the lake.
