  1. That fight on light tackle has to be fantastic. Are you using spinning equipment? Jigging spoons or some type of flutter spoons? Keep up the great info /pics.
  2. I'm looking to buy 2 or more OR 12 planer boards. Preferably with the OR 39 releases, but not a deal breaker. Thanks, Big Tom
  3. I have a lack of rod holders on my 18' Starweld. Right now I run 4 dual axis rod holders on 24" tracks and 2 Cannon riggers with single rodholders. When I run 2 or more sideplaners, plus 2 diver setups, I'm out of rodholders. My rod storage in the floor and gunnels doesn't allow for long rods, so I also have no safe place to store extra rod setups. I'm considering purchasing one or two rod trees, either double or triple. I see that some trees are fixed at different angles, some can be adjusted and others are angled up at the same angle. I certainly see that the adjustable trees would offer greater positioning, but is that advantage worth the added cost. I also have to consider how my popup canopy will work with a rodtree .I see Cabellas has a Millenium rod tree for a reasonable price with good reviews, but I'd also consider the big name makers. I'd appreciate any input your experiences could offer, especially from the smaller boat group. Thanks ahead.
  4. Looks like a great day for you, nice video. Plan to fish the same area this Monday - Wednesday out of Wilson for my first time in my new Starweld Fusion 18'. Hope the seas and fishing are just as good as were yours.
  5. I have a Saltist 30H on a Fish USA 8'6" rod that I wish to use for planer boards. Should I use braid or steel? Was planning on 20lb backing. Am I right that the backer should run to the release, so as to prevent damage to the chosen line? Rather confused on how to rig the setup. Thanks for any advice.
  6. always enjoy your reports. For us outa state boys who trailer up and pray for smooth seas/no rain, you provide a good stepping off point, almost a headstart for a hopefully successful trip for us. Appreciated...
  7. Rob, great informative response for the rest of us.
  8. I'll take the two weights for @100.00 shipped.  Send me payment options.  Big Tom  from Jersey.

  9. you initially listed several cables, are you still offering them? you now list only one
  10. Pictures only show the cable for the downrigger, but your bill also shows the battery cable. Is the battery cable included?
  11. Do these move both sideways and up /down like the Cannon rodholders.
  12. A great looking fishing family! Keep it up, and those rosy cheeks.
  13. Thanks for your response with the weather site. Looks like it's Olcott for launching.
  14. Trailoring my 18' Starweld a long way to fish late Monday thru Wednesday between Wilson and Rochester. Based on the best producing waters right now, any input on the best port to launch from right now would be appreciated. From recent posts, the fish seem to be scattered, waiting for the temp to set up. Considered starting at Wilson, figuring there is usually a bite of off the bar, but if I can save time washing lures, I'm all ears. Looking for kings. Also, what site can I find out the expected wave height? I've seen it mentioned somewhere on Lou, but can't find it now. Much appreciated.
