  1. It is good to see discussion and a general consensus the fishery needs a change to get back to more balance of high numbers with large fish mixed in.
  2. You are really buying a system now. I went with Garmin because I use a lot of it and I can even run some of it from my watch. I would guess they are all good now
  3. Thanks, but shipping in US only.
  4. Deeper breaks drifting a crawler and split shot will put you on larger fish. That lake is fun.
  5. Lake Oahe in SD is starting to produce 20lb kings currently after a couple down years, so I personally think much of this is cyclical.
  6. I run a j plug all year from lake o, to Lake Michigan to lake Oahe, tends to produce the bigger fish all season
  7. They are called kings for a reason. If you are catching smaller fish, steelhead are more fun and coho taste better.
  8. Wouldn’t it be nice to catch a fish heavier than the lb test line you use?
  9. If I wanted quantity I would perch fish. Charters can typically provide numbers regardless if big kings aren’t the goal. 1 30lb king is way better than a bunch of 10-20lb. Part is the fight, the other is the memories. I do think you can have both, time will tell.
  10. Zach are these ratchet?
  11. Maybe next year will be epic with all the 2-3 being 3-4 next year.
  12. KD tournament in WI I believe the top 10 were all 30lb and up. In MI a one day tournament this weekend, biggest king was 34lb I believe. They are also have the quantity like lake O this year. Not too long ago kings were small and limited in number. Might be worth looking at their approach as of late
  13. I think you catch bigger fish on plugs year around from my experience. I think it depends on quantity vs quality but I have a plug out most of them time year round. I took a couple decades off salmon to pursue Muskie and having come back to salmon I am still finding they like big baits.
  14. Our largest king, 42lbs came on a larger plug behind a dipsey, but has been awhile. We also took our largest Lake Michigan kings on j plugs behind dodgers, sometimes being a bit different gets you difficult fish. Heck they use spin n glow for kings in Alaska.
  15. The system is $1479, additional probes $599. This is from FB, so who knows if accurate.
  16. Open to offers. Thanks
  17. It basically the best of the other two products in one that appears to be simple to use. From two established companies, I am really looking forward to learning more.
  18. If cost is right, that is a game changer, no transducer or head unit.
  19. Yes either works. They are not line counters though.
  20. These are not line counters. New in box, $300 for both shipped in US. Thanks
