    If it was just my sewer overflowing I wouldn’t be bothered, just doesn’t sit right if it’s everyone else’s. Call me old fashioned.

    Zero for tournaments is a good idea. Carting fish from Gallo to the river every tourney for stage time is so stupid. If they can fish with road cones and live scopes, I think they can figure out a fish-less weigh-in system that still entertains.

    Lower the limit to 2 a day, open the season July 1st and close it July 5th. I’ve seen enough Nascar on water and Ricky Bobbys to hold me over for a long time.

    I can remember Bob coming back to the dock 20+ years ago with walleyes so big I thought they were carp. Legend walleye fisherman. RIP.

    Got 2 Saturday evening on a spoon down 60 and a wire dipsy out 220 f/f in 140’ off calf. 2-3 hour effort.

    I want to believe they are sporty but there were so many I’m starting think they were forage fish like Cisco. Same size as smallies. Inquiring minds want to know!

    Was cruising around for fun other night and stopped at 80’ north of Galoo Island and just putted along and was marking tons of fish on that contour holding close to bottom. Screen was loaded the whole time. Can anyone guess from the picture what these could have been? Looks like bottom was temp was ~65.

    I got same rigger, that makes sense to me. Don’t know why I got it into my head 12 was max. Prolly just trying to avoid reeling up heavier stuff. Time to get tougher and stop pussin around I guess lol. Thanks.

    Blowback is kicking my butt. Salmon fishing is a small part of my life so I still use hand cranks so I am limiting myself to 12lb wts so I want to go to 150# PP to try and solve this. My question is, can I just tie into my existing cable just in case fleas get nuts and want to revert back to cable for a short time? Also, terminal gear for PP is just a heavy duty swivel, right? Thanks for any insights.

    Fished out there yesterday. 130-150’ near calf island we got browns, lakers, steel, and shaker kings. Big kings are there just not for me. Tried some skinny water for walleyes but the fleas were terrible in shallow and I was not marking. Got the steel/brown up high on lead and lakers/shakers ~100’ on riggers.

    I’ve caught them in Cape Vincent trolling eyes in August. I presume these are just lost fish. However, I remember a guy saying that it was a repeatable occurrence every fall that a pod of fish would show up in the cape area every fall near the Canadian ferry port for a short timeframe, but that is very likely to be a huge crock of fairy tales.
