    It does pretty good. I hold a little more tension wearing a glove to hold it back. I also add a little more line then needed. Then I go out on the lake, let out 90 percent of the line with a tripped dipsy. Crank it back in and it’s nice and tight.

    I used braid backer and got 300’ of copper on the 40’s I Found a good reel calculator on line, it is an excel format. I used that reel filler for all my reels. The wire was off a little, reel was probably 90% full. All the copper and leadcore were really close to the calculation. I also have a South Chatham reel spooler with a digital counter. Worked out well for me. Blood run copper Berkeley big game mono power pro braid 40’s Backing Braid 50# 225 yards 50# Mono splice (for release) 5 yards 32# Copper 100 yards (300’) 50# Mono Leader 5 yards Calculator said reel is 101% looking at it I would say it’s like 97% full. 50’s Backing Braid 50# 250 yards 50# mono splice 5 yards 32# Copper 133.3 yards (400’) 50# Mono Leader 5 yards Calculator said reel is 100.20% full. I’d say it’s 100%

    Bracket Mount Helmsman 3 & 3/4” CombiDamp dial. Back light and brass tool to adjust. It was a gift 2 years ago. Too big for my boat, I tried but my OCD won’t let it go. No air bubbles, glass in excellent, was inside enclosed cabin out of the weather. $125 shipped to lower 48.

    Mounted mine on marine board, helps a lot to get it mounted just right. The PS30 is a brick and made a big rooster tail. Bent some aluminum and made a spray guard. I was worried it was too close to the other transducers. Had zero issues with any of the transducers so close to each other. 100 percent plug in play. No black box or anything needed (assuming your chart plotter is compatible) Good luck with your install.

    I had a 18’ Lund and had zero issues. Now I have a Hewescraft. It’s a “tank” as are most manufactures boats on the west coast. Two vastly different price points.

    I do like to have matching setups. I have a total of 4 reels to spool up. Reel will hold a maximum of 450’ of copper.

    Looking for opinions on what length copper lines I should spool up. Reel capacity chart calculates I can fit a maximum 450’ of 32# copper, using 50# braid backer. Any thoughts on the following combinations: A. 1-200’ 2-300’ & 1-400’ B. 2-200’ & 2-300’ (snap weights to run deeper) C. Other suggestions? I have 4 wire divers or 2 braided divers, 2 DR’s and will be pulling big boards I appreciate any advice.
