    I tried some Lyman 2" and 4" plugs yesterday in Ontario central basin of Lake Erie. All I can say is wow!! These things catch Steely and Walleye. Just 2 of us yesterday running 4 rods (2 riggers and 2 Chinook #3 high divers) went 14-16 on Bows and over 40 walleye (all before noon). Incredible day Moonshine spoons certainly did some catching but Lyman's were very impressive, especially behind the diver with 6' lead. I would say the 4" did a little better than the 2" but it was close. Huge walleye came on those 2". We were trolling anywhere from 2.2 to 3.2 mph at the ball. I had no idea on these lures until yesterday. I do think the front treble hook on the 4" lure could be removed without changing the hook up success. We also put a split ring on the front to connect to swivel. Just wanted to post because I'm sure these lures would be equally effective on Lake O.

    Only using 50 feet of 40-pound big game mono tied into braid.

    May I ask why you attach mono before the diver? I’ve always done braid right to diver

    I can’t keep mine from slipping and I’m using 40 pound mono so far I’m not impressed

    Do you ever have an issue where the Slide Diver doesn't hold where you set it? I can't seem to get mine to hold. I am also using 40 pound test line.

    I use 50 pound Power pro braid You would not want to use Mono

    I told my wife this weekend, we are never missing Olcott NY during 4th of July week ever again. Lake Michigan (Michigan side) just does not compare this time of year.

    Lake st clair is my home waters, I'm very fortunate. Fish it often, mostly on Canada side. actually, fishing tomorrow with 5 guys I have hundreds of tuff Shads, Boss Shads, loke, ziggie, harvo baits, etc Simply stated, I don't know how to buy Baker baits, other than seeing them on Ebay occasionally. I don't see a website, and I don't see them at team rhino, etc.

    Got home safely (Michigan) yesterday. Had a great time all week. We met some wonderful people, ate more chicken wings than I can count, spent some time along the Niagra river being a tourist, and had calm seas almost the entire week. We caught a variety of fish: Kings, Coho, Lakers, and Atlantics. Nothing huge, except for a few big Lakers. most up by the power plant to the east. Mag Michigan Stinger spoon in Caddy Shack UV was far my best spoon. I hope to get back Labor Day.

    Caught more small kings today, plus a nice steelhead and a big laker flat calm water Going to falls tomorrow, not fishing

    Tough fishing this am went down to Wilson area water was flat calm 2 for 3 is all we could get decided to pick up and come in at 2pm Lake O is humbling this Michigan boy quickly

    Making the drive from Michigan to Olcott NY on Saturday. Excited for my 1st ever fishing trip to Lake Ontario!! Any insite would be greatly appreciated on a good starting point for Kings. Winds are looking favorable, which is awesome thank you
