    I run small spin dr.'s on braid all the time. Peanut flies, 4" mylar style flies and spoons all run fine. If your concern is the lack of stretch in the braid, the key is properly set drags and a good rod with fast action (rod bends from tip through mid section, sufficient backbone near the handle)

    10 - 30' might be a little deep. Fish are still in tight to shore. Start in 6 -10' and work your way our if not finding fish. Vary your speed until you find what they want. 1.9 - 2.3 is a good starting point when the water is still cold. I don't have any experience with chinook divers but you really want to be in top 5-maybe 10' of water right now. Weight rods, flat lines, short coppers or lead.

    There has been a nice mix of Browns, Cohos and Atlantics all along the south shore and the bite has been steady. I have even heard (unverified) of a few kings in the mix (though certainly not in any numbers yet). Browns and cohos have been in all the usual spots in 5-20 FOW mostly. If you're looking for Kings next week may be a little early for any good numbers.

    Ramp fee at Hughes is $10.00/day. Not sure if they are open yet. They have two ramps. One is considered a "deep water" ramp.

    I have two #0 Dipsy Divers that I don't use since switching to the slide divers. These are in like new condition. Be ready when those spring browns slide out to 20'. $20.00/pair shipped (U.S.) or $15.00 local pick up.

    YW.....I do find that filling to 100% by the calculator is a little overfilled...... I like to go to 90%

    I've been going through some pics from last year and came across this one. The square tail clearly says Brown but the lack of spots on the adipose fin, fewer spots overall and few spots below the lateral line and jaw extending beyond the eye says Atlantic. What's everyone's opinion?

    Thanks Shultz. Those look awesome. Ive been tying my own flies for 40 years and dont really wanne go down that rabbit hole with hardbaits. My bank account can't handle another addiction!
