My wife and I had a great 2 day trip to OO. We camped at Lakeside state park and launched at OO Marine park. My normal
program is Wilson early, then East end. Life is busy so we trailer at this stage of life, and we enjoy camping/fishing different areas a few times per year.
Friday 7/7- 130 to 160 FOW West was fire. 45 to 70 down. Mag Spoons on riggers. Diehard and 42nd. Kings, coho, steel all mixed. Kept the bleeders and boxed before 10.
Sat 7/8. - set up in 130 headed North. Made the turn South in 400 fow when we were 1 shy of a box. Constantly hooked up the whole way out and back. Lost countless fish between currents, tangles, fleas, washing machine waves, and just 2 of us doing battle. Awesome morning. Hot king rod was green on green Atomic twinkie down 90 over everywhere. Steel, cohos, teenagers on all the higher rods.
Hot fishing, weather, camping, site seeing, great food, great area. Doesn’t get any better!
