  1. PM sent on the keels
  2. I have found with the slower cameras they need to be set up more parallel to a trail than perpendicular.
  3. morning, is anyone else having spam issues when using the app? using it on a android and the last few days while logged in im getting a redirect to a google site that claims you have won a phone. uninstalled last night. just curious.
  4. Was on the water about 4:45. Dad didnt want a rough ride so we set down in 150 and headed north. Temp was deep. Set a rigger at about 150 and another 130. Spoon and FF. Low mag divers out 280 and 300 with FF, high divers 300 and 350 one with spoon one with meat. Did not mark much until we we at 300'. Screen go really good at 350. No takers, tried speed changes, color changes, swapped fly for meat. Nothing, had a couple lookers that moved up or down with the spread for a bit but that was it. Anyone have any luck this weekend? Any tips or tricks?
  5. Currently have 8.5 and 10 running wire on each side. Seems to be working good
  6. I've been using predictwind, you can pick any spot out there and see the wave forecast. Been pretty close
  7. I remember something similar when I was mating on a boat in sodus. Dead flat when we went out but turned to 10' waves in a hurry. Makes for a interesting run in. Been out in my 16' tracker in 3's but that's all I would recommend. Pick your days and it's a non issue. Trouble is work/family come first so the days are limited. Setting lines in 3's can be a challenge with low sides, just need to be carefull
  8. Prepping for st Lawrence trip, rigging walleye rods
  9. heading up mid next week, any guidance?
  10. Alright, thought they would have a minimum length but I guess not. Thanks
  11. That's what I was looking at, did I miss the minimum size requirement in there? Bought the sportsman and card that was required
  12. Afternoon, I'm having trouble finding the size/slot regulations for Ontario zone 20 (lower Niagara) for a upcoming trip. We will be targeting walleye but bass would be fine also. I have both US and Ontario licenses and will be fishing from the US side. I have the Ontario regs for zone 20 here and the only thing im finding on walleye is not more than one greater than 63cm (24.8") as well as possession limits. Nothing on minimum limit or slot if there is one for this zone. Could not find the minimum in the general regs either. Am i missing something? Is there any other spots that the information can be had? Thank you
  13. I bought a 220f not long after they came out. Then ny opened rifle. Dad shot a couple with it though. Ive used lightfields in it. Now I'm using Remington accutips. They shoot alright. Never really played with it to much. Can't get rid of it in case I make it to the Midwest in a shotgun only area. I see they have a smoothbore turkey model now also
  14. Agree, TM pulling on the small boats works great. I found with mine I lock the target speed the increase kicker speed to the TM is running about 50%. Any less and it seems to get lazy with the steering. Kicker throttle made a world of difference on dialing the speed. Also mad a big skeg for the TM to grab more water. As long as the wind isn't bad I can look at my tracks and they are dead straight. Moving in the boat upsets it more than anything else
  15. thanks guys, will be running them again this week at some point. mine are just roller tips what swivel about 45* each direction. will try different positions in the rod holders as well
  16. Was similar last night. Solid bait balls on that area but not much action. Ours where on spoons also. No ff or meat went off
  17. Morning, ordered some new rods for my wire divers and they came with the roller tips already installed. Went out last night for the first time with them. Other than being a bit stiffer than i thought they would be they worked good. I did set these up with mono backer/wire/braid/fluorocarbon leader. This worked well. The Dipsy was clipped to the braid with a offshore clip with peg by wrapping the braid around the clip once. Lets us adjust the distance behind the diver as well as remove the diver one handed for ease of netting fish. They tripped as they should on clearing lines. But my concern is on the roller tip. They swivel a bit in each direction off the centerline of the rod. On clearing the last line i had the braid jump the roller and get off to the side. Was a easy fix and did not damage anything but if the wire did it not so good. The braid and wire are only 0.001" different in size. Used the Twilli tips in the past and am not opposed to it again just curious if anyone else has had line jump the roller and get between the roller and guide and if there is a easy solution to using them without that happening.
  18. looking for a new 1000' spool of the bright if anyone has any extras
  19. Looking to try a 4 blade. The mercury prop finder suggests a 10.3x13 for the 4 blade. If anyone has one they want to get rid of let me know. Thanks
  20. Lines in about 6:30 just east of the channel. 100 fow. Dropped a rigger 105 with a NBK and NBK slide. Other rigger had a spin doctor wonder bread and purple fly. Port dipsys out 180, 3 setting with green/glow spin doctor and green meat head. Starboard out 210, 3 setting dark green/gold chrome back with dark green fly. Trolled west keeping our slightly. Tough troll with a 16' boat. Trolling motor kept coming out of the water. Down temp was 44 to 50 depending on speed. Had to keep it about 2 mph. Any faster was hard to do anything. Deep rigger went in about 120. Dad grabbed it and fought a nice king a bit over 20 lbs. Got that one in the box and reset. Kept going west and the same rod went, this time on the slider. I fought that one and Dad cleared the other rigger and port dipsys. Starboard dipsys went off and we had a double going. Did the over/under dance a few times. Ended up killing the kicker and just ran the trolling motor. Got mine to the boat and it made a couple more runs at the net. Dad set his down and tried to net mine but it got off. Same size as the first. 10 more minutes and we got his to the boat and had to hand line that one it. Just under 20 lb. We pulled the gear and where back at the launch before 9, had some other obligations. Marked quite a few fish today. Hope everyone else is having good luck out there.
