I'm looking for places to take my kids fishing. I know about Conesus Lake and Vitale Park, and I'm wondering how the bank fishing is on Honeoye, especially around Sandy Bottom Park, and Honeoye Creek in that area. Is it worth taking them during the summer? They're ~6 and 7, so their attention spans are pretty short, so having to work hard for the fish is not idea. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

How's the fishing and boating so far in Honeoye and Conesus? Looks like Irondequoit Bay is done for a few months -
We rented a place on the west side of Honeoye in a couple of weeks. Unfortunately the house has limited parking and no place to store our boat trailer for the week. Was going to utilize the state launch but there's no overnight parking. Trident stated for $25 I could park it at there storage facility which seems like what I'll do. Anyone have any concerns or other options besides what I came up with? Thanks in advance!

Seems they have shut down the beach @ Sandy Bottom for my kids' swimming lessons due to the Blue-Green Algae again. The management of this lake is sad. My bad - I was given partially correct information. There IS an algae problem that caused the swimming beach to close, and the DOH is checking for the Blue-Green.

Have there been any good times for anyone on Honeoye Lake in the last month or so...? I'm asking about decent walleye action, night or day. I don't mean like what Justin and Tracy do at Otisco, but a couple, two or three or whatever....some OK activity? Also, have there been any decent smallie catches? I know the largemouths can keep anyone there busy....any brutes landed? Also, how about Hemlock or Canadice? Just any good outings in one of those lakes.....
