Bear said he only had one small salmon come into the weigh in.  Lots of rainbows and some browns.

Here is a small Salmon caught day 1.

I agree they are rare these days.

We fished a lot of hours, this was our only salmon.

We also fished a lot of hours. 1 Atlantic. The browns seem to be showing up more. Caught 2 on day 1 and 1 on day 2. The bow population is definitely healthy.

We fished only for lakers . This was 3rd place. It was skinny if it had shoulders and a full belly who knows what it would have weighed. Thanks Bear and Wiz for putting on the derby.

We stayed 50 fow or less focusing on the silvers. LOTS of atlantics boated, just nothing big enough to weigh. Size 1 Chinook divers on a 2 setting out 13’-15’ were the ticket for atlantics and browns early morning, we had to adjust as the day went on. Small R & R spoons were preferred. 2.8-3.0 GPS speed was essential. Even lakers cooperated with the faster speeds. Picture of my son in law who was on the reel for the 2nd place 10lb bow.
