Planer Boards and Dipsy Divers.

Hey Guys

This might be a dumb question, but have been taught, if you don't know, ASK!!

Have set up a couple of large planer boards on my boat. Can you run dipsy's off the boards? If so what size and kind of release do I need? Or is it better to just use weights?

Some people do.....I don't and there is no need to. I have run up to 3 dipseys on one side without any tangles. Shoot in this past weeks waves at the bar I ran 4 wires and never had a tangle. Keep the boards for surface lines and junk lines.

Yup what Yankee said. I have run the small big jon diver discs off the boards, but they do not have a large amount of pull. they work great for BT's in the early spring.

Yes what Rich D said. The mini discs also work good for high riding kings off the boards down 15 to 25.
