cleaning outdrive

My wifes boat was slipped in goose bay for many years. After much work i finally got the gel coat buffed up so it looks almost new again. Now i want to clean the outdrive.

It has a build up of (I would guess) algea. I have a power washer but not sure if I should use it on the drive. I used a green scrubby to clean mine last year but it ended up scratching it a bit. Not too bad but I don't want to go that route again.

Toilet bowl cleaner works pretty well. the liquid kind.
