My 26 ft Searay with a 350 Alpha1 at minimum forward throttle ~650 rpm does about 3 to 3.5 mph on flat seas with no wind.

What size/brand trolling bags would be the best setup to get me down into the 1.8 to 2.8 mph range?

Thanks for your help!

Either the buggy bags or the beefy bags.

I have 2 of the 28" beefy bags on my 24' Thompson and with both in the water, they'll slow me almost to a dead stop. That size should be plenty for you as well.

Those bags are super heavy duty and will last forever.

I agree with tbromund. I have two beefy bags that are going into their fourth season. Give Capt. Frank a call and he'll direct you to the proper size bag. I can't say enough about the quality of his product...........

I don't think you can have too big a bag....I seem to get about 2 seasons out of a bag.

You don't want to troll all day at min throttle, the larger bags will allow you to add some rpm's.

I agree with the guys about amish outfitters and their trolling bags. Have had mine for four years and they look brand new. I'm a rec fisherman and I probably bought too much bag for my boat but I probably won't have to buy one for at least 10 years.

Thanks for the advice guys. I've got a pair of 28" beefy bags on the way from Frank.
