Fishfinder GPS combo (help)

Hi !

Still looking to buy a fish finder I can have for a while . Talked to BOE marine and they recommend a Lowrance HDS 5.

Wondered if anyone has one or has any input on the unit. Seems like they are some folks out there less then happy with Lowrance's service lately. Any info would be helpful . Thanks JT

I would stay away from Lowrance. I've got an LCX 27c and it's great when it's working but if you need and help be prepared to wait an hour or better on the phone. Just received my third unit under warranty and it is finally all working. Yikes!!!!!!!!!!

i just added a HDS 7 to my network and it works amazing, needed some help from customer service on the setup but it works 10X better than the lcx 28hd i installed last year. great detail in both sonar and gps mode. make sure you get it with insight.

Slamin salmon, how long did you have to wait for customer service? Just wondering if they got there head out of their rearends and worked on their customer service.

Ditto on what Coup said, I have a LCX 27C and I am on my 3rd transducer.
