Big boards

I am new to big boards but the 26 foot pen yan I bought has them. So I bought my first couple 300 copper rods and a couple 10 color lead core rods. My question is on the big boards what gets set farthest from the boat if I run a 300 copper and a 10 color lead core on each side? Should the longer lines be farther out or closer in?

You want your shallower running lines the furthest away from the boat. So your 10 color. That way if a fish takes, it will clear over the 300 copper as the fish works back behind the boat.

They both are 300 feet… but the copper gets deeper…… so that is the one that will be closest to the boat

I thought  a 10 color was good to about 40 ft. 4 ft per color. It’s also about 100ft longer than a 200 copper so it should be on the outside if doubling up on one side
