Did anyone fish out of the Oak this afternoon? Kept hearing these sounds like cannons going off. Only fished a few hours and caught a couple small kings. Little dicey out there with all the fog

Fished this morning, tons of kings 190-300.  45-120 down.  Fog burned off around 9am

I’ve fished the Oak for many years in which that noise comes from Hail Cannons that are strategically placed in farmer’s fields. Once the barometric pressure gets to a certain low, the cannons send a blast of natural gas into the atmosphere to break up the clouds so hail doesn’t ruin their crops. Many years ago when I first heard them, I thought the cannons at Fort Niagara were being used during a reenactment. I’ll be heading to the Oak on July 10 for two weeks of camping and fishing in hopes not to hear that sound!
