Headed to Sandy Creek Salmon River Area Any Advice

Hi all, I have been coming to Lake Ontario with my son for about 10 years now we have gone to Port Bay and fished east and west, this year we are tying something different we are going to Sandy Creek and fishing south and west towards the Salmon River any suggestions areas to check out? Is the fishing in this area any different we have fished for Spring Browns and Salmon, not to many Kings But would like to, I have a Boston Whaler and fish 2-3 times a week in the ocean off Watch Hill, Westerly RI. I am running plainer boards and down riggers, spoons, all colors, Flashers trolling flys etc. Have made a few rigs my self this year similar to what is used on West Coast Puget Sound when I went fishing with my son in-law.
