Hello...Looking for some advice on Fishhawk for 1st time using it.  

Do you lower probe and look for temps or do you lower probe with downrigger rod and let out dipseys etc and then look for good temps as you fish?  Then adjust how much line you have out based on Fishhawk readings?  Wasn't really sure how to begin each day.  Hope that isn't too confusing.

I usually put a spoon on my probe rigger and send it down first and look for temp. That way you’re fishing as you put everything else out.

Okay.  Thanks for that info.  I was thinking  that would be best method to get started.  Otherwise would just be guessing.

The probe rigger is always the first in for me and it is always my deepest rigger. It helps me find speed, current, temp all while dropping other things in the water. Once we get settled in we may make adjustments from there.
