Fished a few times over the last 2 weeks. Was on a nice pod of active 2yr Olds and skips straight out in 250. Over the week they bumped out deeper to 270ish and touch west but were pretty easy to get on. Was a great spoon bite with just about all the good colors firing. Ended one evening on a 2 man triple on a rigger, dipsy and 400 copper all fired and dangit all we got all 3 to the net! Wed the fished seemed to clear out besides the top 40' of water showed tons of nice looking marks. With a bit slower action so i decided to pull the high rigger up tight to the boat and to my surprise at 37 over 275 we boated a nice teener king. Today was a bit different since we had finally got out for an early am bite. Went straight out and started in 200 on a north troll. Tons of bait on the screen but very few marks and only took a few fish out to 400. Turned around on a south troll and picked up a low 20's king on a 400 copper. Unfortunately the board popped off so we boated the fish and made a hard u turn.... well, that's exactly what the biggest fish of the season wanted, deep meat rigger fired and after a few hundred feet of back and forth we were able to land a mid 20's king AND a planer board. Ended up taking another low 20's unit on the deep rigger before heading in. Happy to be back at after a few years of limited fishing. The sound of a screaming drag just doesn't get old.... tight lines. 20230708_203244.thumb.jpg.939dcaf5051771829e6c33b363f9313d.jpg
