My "Mupped" set-up uses an "Add-A-Line" clip that I was always able to buy at Narbys.  Not an option anymore as they are closed.  Cannot find it on the web.

What is your favorite method?

Any help would be appreciated

The DW Action Stacker works real well. It's a snap with a notch in the rubber covering. Just hook on the line at the notch. Very simple.

We've always run rubberbands on our fixed cheaters. In the video below you'll see the ones I got at FishUSA recently. Those light brown ones are the medium strength. Next time I'd like to try the lighter red ones. Here's why, on my spoon rods I run a fluorocarbon leader. That creates a knot. With the coated swivels talked about above, and the medium strength rubberbands from this video there's a change they get stuck at that knot. You want that rubberband to break so it slides down to the main lure.

Thanks for directing me to the video! Thanks for making the video!

On my mup rods, I run a 50 ft. fluorocarbon leader so the knot doesn't come into play.

The "Add a Line" clips always slide down to the bottom spoon and don't leave any trash on the main line.

I will be trying the rubber bands this weekend.
