Diver/ meat rig set up

I usually run spoons behind my wire divers but want to try a flasher/ meat rig next time out.  What is a good leader length between the diver and flasher if I usually fish solo.  Also, is a Twinkie rig set up a bad idea for this since it adds quite a bit of length to the entire rig?

I use mag slide divers if I want to run meat on my low divers.  Set 15 feet from diver to paddle.  Use a bead at the swivel.  Easy to net.  Some days they work great.  I avoid running them in bad cross currents cuz things can tangle.

Thanks, I have some slide divers but my biggest isn’t a mag and only 3 3/4” dia.  Not sure what the max depth would be with wire pulling a paddle.

For the mag slide divers with the big ring and extra weight kit,  I can get 80 down with 180 feet of wire out set on 1 setting.  That’s with 8” paddle and Twinkie rigs.  I got them for the reason you are asking cuz I fish solo a lot, and I hate hand lining or messing with clipped on Dipsey deal.  
I don’t think regular slide diver will get it done, like you said.
