91F Hot Landlock bite Champlain 9/5/23

On a hot calm 91F day we debuted the Lithium battery Costco fan today on Chris's boat! We sure needed it! 3 nice Landlock salmon 4 lb class with the largest at 4.7 lbs.

I'm heading to Champlain for the first time this thursday (9/21). We will be camping on Valcour Island. What part of the lake were you fishing? Any advice for a first-timer? (I am fairly competent at trolling the finger lakes and Lake Ontario)

It's the NY side of Champlain on the broad lake.  South of Valcour.  It's a tough time of year to catch landlock salmon as they will be entering the streams very soon.  Lots of lake trout.   Target 62F water and 10 feet above that!  Good luck!
