What kind of cable do I need to run from the head unit to the antenna cable?

It is just a single pin audio cable from antenna to the head unit. Can be purchased easily. I’ve got an almost new 12fter you can have if you want it.

Is thats whats know as a single RF cable?

RF cable  is used primarily for threaded cable tv connections. You need a single pin push on type audio cable

This is the cable I used to replace the cable that came with the original unit. It works great
