This years lake has had more widespread color than the previous 5 year. I am interested in some fish forcasts for next year. Thank you

This usually happens in August.  It looked like this the past couple of years.  It has been extended into the fall more than usual due to the warm temps.  2012 the entire lake was light blue in August.

I was just talking about this at work with our lab director.  I showed him the lake color in the background of this laker photo from August of 2012.

I tried to look back at previous years satellite imagery, but I couldn't find past years imagery. How did you come up with this conclusion?

I have posted on this site numerous whiting events showing on MODIS in recent years. Typically, they have presented in August. Do you remember last year during the fall derby?  The water was so chaulky, I had to run a flasher ahead of a spoon to get bit by steelhead.
