My cannon 10 quit on me last trip.  I went through all the normal issues, bad switch, fuses, etc. I finally pulled the motor out of the downrigger connected it directly to the battery and it works but if I connect existing wires from the battery, which I know have power using the multimeter to the motor.  The motor does not run any ideas.  As soon as I connect the wires from the battery which read 12+v to the motor the multimeter goes to 0

Could possibly be a bad board.  It's an easy replacement.
