New to Lake Ontario

Hello all. I am Tom and I fish mainly Lake Michigan and Lake Erie for Walleyes. I am interested in learning about lake Ontario. I have a 19.5' Starcraft Fishmaster, 150hp Merc with a 15 hp kicker. It is outfitted with 2 Big Jon Captians Packs and 12 rocket launchers. Last year I did well on Lake Michigan. This year I am taking a week to fish Lake Ontario the first week of August. Glad to be a part of this site.

IMO, First week in august, you're just as likely, if not more likely to have better fishing in Wilson/Olcott/Oak Orchard/Rochester on the west side than you will in the far east ports.

My home port is Olcott and in a normal weather year (last year was an exception with lots of strange winds) we have super king action all summer long, usually in 60-150 fow.
