I went out on monday for pike and fished just about every square inch of sodus bay and coulldn't get anything to happen except for one hammerhandle. I'm no newby to catching norhterns in the bay but I could not figure out anything to work. Has anyone been having the same luck or advice on where they are. Any advice would be great

Hey Gravedigger, check out my rattlebait post. 1 fish taken fron the east side of newark island on a firetiger clacken rap. The other west of thortons point on a green excaliber, both in 8-12 fow. I am seeing the bite really slow compared to previous years as well as you are. I would recomend trying the rattle type baits.

my two cents...the pike fishing at sodus peaked around 2000 and has been in decline since. i could catch ten a day then and now i am lucky to get two. fisheries change over the years but i am no scientist so i don't know why. for numbers of pike fish seneca, for big fish i like conesus, except for the crowded summer months.
