I have an issue that has arisen on my boat..... When Electronics (Humminbird FF and Garmin hand held GPS) are turned on and boat has already been started the FF and GPS are fine......when I shut boat off, FF & GPS stay powered as they should. When I restart the boat with FF/GPS powered on, I get a loss of power to the electronics which I haven't had in the past.. The FF & GPs are wired directly to the battery, via the power strip in the dash......any suggestions on what I may have going on?.....Someone I talked to mentioned the voltage regulator on the alternator.....oh, this is a 4 cyl mercruiser I/O.

Agree with Ray. Check the battery and the connections. When my battery started going south had the same issue. New battery solved the problem.

When you crank over your engine, you may be getting a low voltage signal to your electronics that shut them down to protect them. Your engine starting battery may be getting weak.
