Anybody know of any good rigging techniques and spoons for using a downrigger and canandaigua lake

IMO for smaller lakes I  use 20 size reels ugly sticks or light blue diamond rods.. 20lb mainline or 30 too keep the fleas away then run a 10-15 leader 8-12lbs with a smaller ball bearing swivel.. start off with a 15-20ft lead then you can run slider spoons also
