Thanks for the add!

I am having problems with my downrigger. I sure hope the expertise of this group can help. While downrigging  for no apparent reason the downrigger starts reeling up. Everything else works great. The boat and gear are stored inside, never left to the elements.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

If that isn't the issue, circuit board. Fish 307 has about the best prices I've seen.

I figured out the problem!  I used the old K.I.S.S method when I went fishing yesterday. KISS method, Keep It Simple Stupid.  I checked all wiring connections, line, clutch tension then the retractable boom. I have a smaller boat so the boom is fully retracted. The fist section of the boom was a touch loose, I tightened it. Then out fishing, surprise, not one errant auto reel up. Even caught a 7 lb Laker.

Thanks everyone! Good fishing!
