The Oswego tourism weekly report for 8/8 said  salmon fishing went from ridiculously good to ok. They said kings were being taken consistently in 500-700 feet of water and anglers found in some success 120-300 foot of water and good brown bite in 70/100 ( and they should be going closer to shore ) . Does that sound about right?

They also said Salmon were elusive in Mexico . Is that true? How far out from Mexico to get into some kings Mid August?

Does anyone have a pulse check of where things are in regard to the bite on the east end between Oswego and Mexico? About to launch and would like to get some real insight on whether these statements posted by tourism should be taken with a grain of salt/disregarded completely/ or if they are accurate.

If report is true and kings are being taken in 500/700 foot of water how far down are they running a ball?

Thanks!
