Trailer Axle replacement

So I went on a trip to the mountains with my big boat.  

 

I noticed when I got close to home my tires looked different . I looked at the axle and it had a big stress crack in it from rust . 20 years old , very lucky it didn't break on my the road 

 

I ordered a new one on line ,just got done installing it   . It really wasn't a hard job . 612 $ total . New hubs bearings ,trailer bolts 

 

If that thing had gone on the road I don't know what I would have done . It really could have been bad going 70 mph down rt 81 . 

 

Might be a good idea to take a look at yours
