I have waved off and told numerous boaters to stay between the bouys going in and out of Sandy . East side of the channel is very shallow and getting worse as  lake drops . 

 

Red on right when returning from sea. 

 

Red on right when going upstream .

 

And the channel that was dredged out to 9 ft deep is as shallow as 4 ft now . That didn't take long .

Years  ago I had to get out of the boat and push going out of the Sandy pond cut 

it’s always been and always will be shallow

The yacht club now has a dredge.  It will be taken care of this spring.  We used to get ice blow outs during thaws in the spring and it would clean the channel out.  That hasn't happened in 10+ years.
