Seneca Dead Fish

5 dead smallmouth , small ones 4 to 5 inches, dead in the water this morning off my dock on Seneca. The fish have started to make a pretty good comeback the last couple years, bass were around the dock all summer, some perch too. A few 12 inches or so but mostly small. Saw a few guys catch trout, so some positives.

Then this am, dead bass! There have been a few algae blooms, a small one today. Hard for them to come back!

Was down on the dock winterizing the motors today. No dead fish near me, clear water . Had a few blooms by us this year. Not much of a sawbelly die off this spring and at least in front of our place the weeds weren't nearly as high as previous years. Trout fishing improving.
