Bow Shooting

Recommended Posts

Let me throw this one out there. I am a right handed bow shooter-right eye dominant. I have a cataract in my right eye (surgery scheduled). During summer practice sessions I could function enough to see my pin and shoot accurate. It has progressed to the point I cannot see my pin AT ALL anymore....sucks... I attempted to use my left eye and obviously shot way left. I moved my site left and was able to walk it in a bit. Site is maxed out and I cant move it left any further. My next move is to attempt to shoot my right handed bow left handed, hence bringing my left eye into play. Although I shoot right handed I do everything else left handed, so I am hoping this is an easy transition. I need to salvage this season..... Any lefty's shooting a right handed bow?...Comments welcome

One option that has helped archers stay in the game is an ARD sight. Check out their Facebook page and web site.  Last year I went to one on my compound and it helped and has helped many with tired eyes or different eye issues. Too much to explain here but the owner will even talk to you on the phone. Archery Red Dot.

Im sure this will be a better option than trying to learn to shoot a RH bow left handed.
