Live in the buffalo area what would be the going price to have auto pilot installed on a 22ft center console (triumph chaos) boat

Cable steer or hydraulic?

Pretty sure it’s hydraulic

Raymarine EV150 is a popular option. Give Kevin Jerge a call at the Wilson Boat Yard. He's out your way, and very knowledgeable about Raymarine APs.

I'll have to give the Raymarine EV-150 a thumbs up. I did a self install in 2019 when I switched from cable steer autopilot to hydraulic.  The system works really well. I do about 25 to 30 fishing trips a year and the autopilot is engaged most of the time while trolling and also on long runs over open water without a hitch. If you end up with the EV-150 autopilot you will not be disappointed.

Thank you and yes its hydraulic system

If you are using Lowrance or Simrad formtour electronics then the Nac1 will be ideal, it comes with everything even the hydraulic oil and very easy to install.

I have mine for over 10 years , fish 4-5 times per season from April to November.

Check out simrad before you make a decision. Ran simrad on my last 2 boats with hydrolic steering and never had a problem. ( about 20 yrs) Did everything I wanted them to do and dependable.

Lowrance and Simrad are exactly the same.

No there not. Lowrance bought Simrad, or more accurately the company that bought lowrance (I believe it's Navico) also bought simrad but they're not the same. At least not 10 yrs ago buddy. Now couldn't tell you for sure. Hank, L&M marine could probably chime in though as he's installed both on a lot of boats.

I can certify that they are the same and by the way Brunswick has bought Navico so Lowrance, Simrad and B&G (sailing ). The AP Nac-1 and Nac-2 are available with Lowrance and Simrad.

I see Brunswick bought Navico in 2021/2022. Like I stated in my post the 2nd simrad I bought was somewhere over 10 or so years ago I believe was an AP21. They were not the same as Lowrance. I also said I'm not sure about now but thanks for the info. I had a Simrad AP12 when Navico bought Simrad and they discontinued that model. Shame because it was a good, accurate, reliable low cost unit that I ran for a good number of years on my 25" Wellcraft with an outboard and kicker.
