I mostly fish Lake Ontario In depths of 40 to 200 feet down and sometimes but rarely at 450 feet down
I currently use a Furuno 587 with a TM260 transducer and a Garmin UHD 64CV with a GT24UHD-TM Transducer. I am not really happy with this setup.
There just seem to be too many monitors on the dashboard and the Furuno does not "talk" to the Garmin which has the GPS. While the Garmin has too small a screen.
So I want to clean up the dash and have only one Fishfinder/GPS Monitor with a 1KW transducer with chirp capability, while not interfering with the fish hawk down temp and speed gauge which uses 70kh. I am thinking a 10 or 12 inch touch screen monitor ,probably but not definitely a Garmin because the auto pilot and the GPS are also Garmin but I get mixed up with all the different products on the market. I want my transducer to be high end, but I don't need a hookup to radar (I have no radar) or other super fancy equipment. I have a budget of give or take $2000.
What would you good people suggest?

There is a very good article on this very subject in the IN -Fisherman oct-nov issue. Seems that may be the new trend is to go to just one large unit instead of all the clutter of 2 or 3 units on your dash. On some of the new units your able to go to 4 split screen views of all the information you want and need. Customizing to your liking.

Going to a 1KW transducer is not needed. Your typical Airmar 600w 50/200khz transducer will do whatever you want on Lake Ontario. Chirp is not needed and nor is the extra money you'll spend on those transducers. However, Airmar just launched a Medium Ultra Wide Chirp transducer that has my attention. I don't think you can go wrong with the Garmin ECHOMAP series, but if you plan to run radar you will have to jump up to a GPSMAP series. Humminbird just dropped their new Xplore series. I'll have some soon, but I'm currently running the SOLIX which is very similar. Lowrance/Simrad are good, but if you ever need customer support, GOOD LUCK!

I sell and install electronics at Krenzer Marine. Feel free to reach out and chat. I can even sell you whatever you need. I dropped a video a few weeks back showing my SOLIX running the Airmar 600w 50/200khz transducer and included a screen shot of my HELIX picking up my flasher down 200' with t hat same transducer.

i second everything that yankee stated.absoluetly no need for 1000w ducer, actually dont even need 600w for what we do,but  a traditional sonar unit with an airmar 50/200 600w is all that is needed for trolling.i run a transom mount ducer and on high frequency never loose bottom and can clearly see bait running 30 mph.put it on low frequency for trolling and you will see everything you need to see under your boat, with proper tuning and correct ducer angle.i know you are looking to go with a single unit, but like rick said,i put a variable chirp 100-140khz with only 300w ducer unit on my boat last year and i am extremely happy with the detail it shows between fish and bait.so between the traditional 50/200 and the chirp 100-140,i feel like its the best setup for trolling.

You can buy a 12" garmin echomap UHD for 1500.00 at cabelas right now.  Last year's model but still a nice unit that will do everything  you want.

Rolmops- I’m redoing my helm over the winter. I ended up going with all Simrad units.
I have a Garmin 93 UHD 93sv (2 or 3yrs old) with GT56UHD Transducer
I specifically used this unit as a chartplotter

I will have this up for sale if you are interested. The transducer is still on the boat but I have the unit at home. I can get the demo mode going. It will control your autopilot and has NMEA2K. No radar capability

Can you send me a PM with additional information, like the price and when you will remove the transducer from your boat
